Birthday Time

Keeping It Green

A simple idea to do a small part in keeping our country “green”!

Start using bar soap instead of a plastic container which not only has a plastic outside but a plastic tube and plunger inside. Within the plunger is a metal spring which is another product that is nondegradable. Bar soap is used up slowly with ones hands and then disappears. Although it does go into the water system it isn’t lying about for years in a disposal station or having to be destroyed by burning. This is a simple explanation but a good reason to go “green” and start using bar soap again. Take a look at my soap holder and find the perfect solution for using bar soap at all your sinks and vanities.

Don’t forget the 15% off of your order using the code: SPRING

A Great Soap Holder

As I mentioned on my home page the soap holder and the washcloth will surely bring a touch of Spring to every bathroom vanity , bathtub, or kitchen in your home. The soap holder is crocheted with two sides using 100% cotton and sewn together around a small sponge. The washcloth is knitted using 100% cotton.

Before I say anymore about the holder here are a few reasons for getting back to using a bar of soap.
1. The feel of a bar of soap in your hands is a very luxurious experience, very smooth and comforting, and even nostalgic for us a bit older who did use only a bar of soap for washing.
2. As the warm water hits your hands holding the soap you start to smell the clean scent and then the soft suds start to appear.
3.You now can gently rub your hands together and while washing them take a minute or two and give your hands a massage. You have just given your hands a mini spa treatment!!

Now back to the soap holder. You can use this delightful holder to illiminate any messy soap dish problems which sometimes does occur using a bar of soap. The sponge will absorb any water or soap and you don’t need another dish under it.

Lastly, I think the soap pumps are fine, however, all the antibacterial agents can be a little much and now that I have been using a bar of soap realize how nice it feels and taking a bit more time with my hands has really made a difference.

The washcloth is just large enough to cover your entire face, soft and yet rough enough to make it an excellent cloth to use when you want to exfoliate your skin; face, arms, entire body.
